Landing in Cairo after midnight? Here is how to get out quickly and safely
Many flights reach Cairo between 11 pm and 4 am. The airport runs 24 hours, but options shrink and offers at the door multiply. This guide follows your steps from the aircraft door to the hotel door.
Inside the terminal
- Visa on arrival: if your nationality qualifies, the counter is before passport control; have US dollars or euros ready.
- SIM card: mobile shops in the arrivals hall usually stay open at night in Terminal 3; get one to reach your driver.
- Cash: withdraw Egyptian pounds from bank ATMs inside the hall, not from touts at the door.
Leaving the hall
- Expect many transport offers at the exit with unfixed prices. If you pre-booked, ignore them and look for your name sign.
- Your Vibes driver waits inside the arrivals hall with a sign; we track the flight, and 60 minutes of free waiting covers slow immigration.
- Do not leave the building to look for the driver — if you cannot see the sign, call the number in your booking confirmation.
The road
- Roads are empty at night: Downtown in 25 minutes, the Pyramids in 40, New Cairo in 20.
- Our price is the same day and night — no night surcharge.
- Tell your hotel your late arrival time so reception is ready.
Before you fly
- Book the car before your flight with the flight number, terminal and hotel.
- Keep the booking confirmation available offline (screenshot).
- With children or lots of luggage, choose an SUV or van from the start.
